Textile design project concept

This project depends on the combination of traditional Chinese architectural structures and modern technology, using sustainable materials to create customizable modular textiles. Each module can be combined or disassembled according to user requirements. Exploring sustainable design with digital technology to broaden the application boundaries for cultural heritage and innovation.

SYMBIOSIS

Textile design project concept

Virtual design can reduce design consumables in terms of environmental protection, and realize forms that physical fabric is difficult to achieve in terms of creativity. The inspiration came from the sudden Glitch of the computer during the design of other projects. I explored virtual knitting and mixed materials design in the virtual glitch world.

START FROM GLITCH

Textile design project concept

I hope to explore the extensity of objects from a philosophical view and explore unfettered forms with garments as the carrier. The sculpture of British artist Tony Cragg inspired me a lot. I thought about the boundary of the garment from the perspective of sculpture and looked for stronger plastic modeling and carriers in the process of research.

EXTENSITY

Textile design project concept

In this project, I design interactive clothing with different visual effects to express the emotions of the wearer. I hope to use clothing as a medium to help emotional transmission and expression to carry out psychological healing and help visual expression of emotions. I used interaction technology in fabric design and worked with a technology company to design a bilingual app to control the device and create a series of 3D model animations and sphygmograms.

EMOTION SENSORS

Textile design project concept

The project is a rich combination of family emotion, traditional culture, sustainable design, and pattern-cutting ideas. I was inspired by the frugal lifestyle of my grandparents. I recycled disused natural fiber fabric and leather to make new textiles with memories. I want to express their relationship through my design. To express that even though the one is gone, the other one with the best memories is still there.

MEMORY TRAC

Textile design project concept

This project was my undergraduate show project, I found a zero-waste recycling method of changing irregular waste fabric into new knitted fabric by cut into lines in a spiral way. part of the bag design was exhibited and collected in the Zhejiang Art Museum and China Silk Museum.

NATURAL FORMS - Accessory Design

Textile design project concept

This undergraduate project uses recycled knitting yarns, combined with special material yarns and manufacturing methods, to create hat designs that can change in appearance depending on the environment.
